Hey Eric I have a question that has been confusing me every since I got my car. I have a 2000 Toyota corolla with 97k original miles, I bought it with 79k miles. Ever since I got the car, if it’s too cold outside the car will idle roughly, you can hear the engine struggle to idle and if I throw it into drive it would nearly stall. On several occasions it has stalled on me in fact. The car never threw up any engine codes and every mechanic I took it too can’t figure it out. What do you think the issue is?
Hey Eric I wanted to get your opinion on daily driving a stick shift car. Almost my entire family tells me they hate it (we live in NY) and I just want to get your opinion on it before I go out and buy a manual transmission vehicle. Do you find it a nuisance or tiring to drive? What starter car should I get for my first manual transmission car? (preferably a Honda/Acura)
Hey Eric! I love your show. I want to ask you opinion on the Honda’s and Acuras of the older days. I’m 19 and looking for a manual transmission car and I took an interest to Honda’s and Acuras. A lot of my friends told me that their transmissions tend to fail and their synchros tend to wear down a lot faster than other car brands. Did you find this to be true? Would you recommend me getting a Honda/Acura with a manual transmission? Thank you
