      Car is back on the road now- turns out that the car timing was off.

        Thanks to everyone for the replies. I’ll be taking it to another shop in the AM, my mechanic buddy is friends with the owner and has free towing. I will make sure to double-check the igniter. When I was checking the distributor I kept thinking about just changing it out. So far the electrical has been ruled out as there is power. I’ll also go through to check the grounds.           Thanks for the link, its actually the guide I followed when I was trying to diagnose the car. Went through everything except checking ecu (which would be a good idea) and flooded engine part (highly doubtful)
          Went into my buddy’s shop (where the car is now) and asked his thoughts-
          Shop did a leak down test- no issue with the gasket/ cyl called it a mystery and parked it to the side. Another mechanic is supposed to come and check it out.
          everyone is baffled.
          “everything is there- why won’t you start?”
