I created a video that shows the behavior. At about 15 seconds, the fan kicks in and the idle rises, but once the fan cuts off around 40 seconds you can hear the idle drop.
Did a couple things today:
* The coolant temperature sensor is reading 210 ohms (200-400 is normal)
* The air temperature sensor is reading 550 ohms (.4-4k is normal)
* I replaced the PCV and did an idle relearn with no noticeable effectA couple other notes.
* Tapping on the IACV has no effect
* This thread seems relevant:I see Eric recommended replacing the PCV with an OEM and to check the idle so I will probably do that first.

One thing that I failed to mention is that I did pull off the IACV and clean out the screen and inspect the throttle body, but neither had anything significant clogging them.
@relative4 Thanks for the response. I found another forum with a similar discussion, but the posters disagreed whether 15-20 psi is normal or 25-30 psi is normal. Enough people said 15-20 psi is normal that I went ahead and replaced the sensor. I haven’t taken it more than about 10 miles from home, but everything seems good.
5W-30 is actually the recommended weight.
I’m confused by your statement that you thing the oil pressure rising means I need a new pump. In Eric’s video, How To Check Oil Pressure, he explains that oil pressure should rise when rpm’s are increased.
From the service manual:
Pressure should be:
Engine Oil Pressure: 80 deg C (176 deg F)
At Idle: 10psi minimum
At 3,000 rpm: 50 psi minimum -
