solved….. It was the alternator. here is a link to a video i watched from scanner danner. he explains it really well.
update:
i just changed the transmission input speed sensor and still in the same boat. speedometer is still doing the same thing. not sure what to do now…. transmission fluid is not low and does not smell burnt and is good in color.where is all the mopar guys at?
update:
i disconnected the battery then reconnected it and took it for a ride. the van is shifting fine and the speedometer is working only when your moving. when at a complete stop the speedometer is jumping from 0 to 20 then when you move again its fine. i did put it on a code reader and this is the codes i got…..
p06014 pcm random access memory failure
p0732 a/t additional gear ratio error in 2nd gear
p0731 a/t additional gear ratio error in 1st gear
p0736 a/t additional gear ratio error in reverse gear
p0720 a/t output speed sensor – low output above 15 mphi am unsure of the last code due to the fact i just replaced the output speed sensor.
any ideas where i should look next?I feel really stupid I took the system apart for nothing. After I found nothing clogged I had the idea that the person who hooked up the toggle switch had it wired backwards. I switched the wires boom got airflow thank you for you help I now have heat that I really needed
I think you guys might be right about the hole in the transmission I checked the cooling lines again all look good. I am also thinking thats what that whining sound is when your going 25

i got it figured out im pretty sure lol
according to this I would think it would work. I not 100% sure so i would like some input before I try anything.
Attachments:well i got the motor out of the regal and i see the the wiring on the transmission is different the lumina has 7 wires and the buick has 5. my question is… is this still possible to do? would i have to change the transmission as well as the motor? or is it just a no go? i didnt rip the lumina apart yet thats why im asking save me a lot of time and work lol.

Can anyone tell me the easiest way to remove the oil pan? Do I need to raise the motor ? Please and thank you
