Just an update guys Mechanic ordered a new flex plate and is going to install this new one on the 95 olds achieva. took the car in last week to him for the work could have been as some of you guys state what either installed wrong or it failed. Anyways thank a bunch for all your responses. Will repost once I get car back and drive it to make sure all is ok..
its the tech problem as he did the work on the flex plate and car was running great except I had to turn flex plate to get it started other wise it ran like a baby in new pampers.. So weather he put it in wrong or bad flexplate he has to fix it. If i work on someones car and break it I will have to fix it..
Mechanic stated it was a bad flex plate and its broken so he asked for old one and I gave it to him He said it was to match the new one he orders kept car 2/28/16 to fix it. He told me he wanted to look at it meaning the tranny but when I got there he had the car down from the lift anyway he wanted to know because there was a whole in the top of the bell housing if I still wanted to have a new flex plate and I told him hell yeah just get the car running back to the way I gave it to you minus the bad flex plate and all is good. I reminded him that the car was running perfect except that I had to turn the flex plate to get it started that’s all..so he kept the car..Iam hoping and praying that his mistake didn’t ruin nothing else on the car and that it doesn’t get patched up where I won’t know to much later…
Mechanic called me just now and verified what some of you guys said the flex plate. He told me that the center of the flex plate is broken off he wants me to bring over the old flex plate so he can get the right one and compare them. I now need another question answered please could this have ruined the tranny of motor in the process of braking down.
If mechanic finds damage to torque is the whole tranny shot or just part he’s gonna have to do.

Well mech last touched it 1/25/16 flexplate installed took back twice for noise coming from. Engine area. brokedown 2/12/16 on freeway towed home and still there.
Thanks for advice but here in Tacoma wa you have to pay to have someone look at it, we dont have the cash were stuck with taking it back to same guy. Thanks a Millon. ok guys so I took the belt off and the flex plate looked a little wobbly I believe all the pulleys turn all the way around except the engine pulley on the bottom it turns just a about a quarter if that much and then gets stuck I even tried turn the engine pulley with a ratched rench and it wouldn’t move any futher the flex plate turns. When I crank the engine with out he serpentine belt on the engine pulley didn’t move at all just the flex plate.. What do you think is wrong with our 95 olds achieva 3.1 v6 engine I believe it has something to do with what the mechanic did with the flex plate. Am I right? :unsure:

I will be trying tomorrow to borrow a tension pulley bar and remove the belt and check all the pulleys by hand if I can.. I will keep you posted tomorrow after I check them unless it continues to rain. Thanks folks for your excellent help hope your having a great valentines day and presidents day..God bless.
