Bearings are fun like that. Sometimes you hear them like crazy on the road then you put it up on the lift and it isnt loose and/or makes no noise.
On my car I cant tell if I need a bearing changed or if my tires are just loud
Hey guys, my name is Jeremy. I work at a performance shop in Montreal, Qc. We work on any car and do anything but we are known for working on perforance cars. This is my first job out of tech school. Its pretty sweet, I have zero complaints. Ive been working there for just over a year now. I own a 2004 VW Golf 2.0 and a 1990 HondaAccord EX-R. I love my japs but I have a soft spot for VWs. Looking forward to getting to know you guys
I work at a performance shop but I do all kinds of work and a vast amount of cars. I’ve seen so many mods and many for the better but jeez don’t cover the fuel pump or any other parts that might need to be removed or accessed. I love seeing the customers face when we tell him it’s going to cost extra cause of a mod they did
I really dont want to be that guy but can it be your floor mat?
Unfortunately they are both different. If you have the f22 engine (your cars stock engine) you can use an h22 starter also. (The Prelude engine). Aslong as its a manual one.
So I am going to change the timing belt and water pump. I had to order the harmonic balancer holding tool from Amazon. I’m in Canada and I can’t find anyone that sells these over the counter other than the dealer. I wish we had more options like you USA guys. We don’t have Pep Boys or Auto Zone. No one rents or lends hand tools here.
Canadian tire rents tools. You pay the full price but get it back when you return it. I think it’s 3 days but you can just go back and renew it. It saved my ass many times before I had as many tools as I have now
Change the MAP sensor and you should be good as new
Check and make sure you have the gaskets needed to put between each exhaust clamp.
Post a video when its done, I need to hear that roar!
I live in Montreal, I know exactly what you are talking about. 95% of Mazdas I work on have rusted bodies. Its a shame
For your car it is in the fuel pump. You can order the filter and replace it on the pump without having to buy a new one
Good luck man. I love those cars, I have one myself. Keep her going!
agree, don’t waste you money on an H. Just cause its a little bigger doesn’t mean anything. There is much more aftermarket support for native Civic/intgra type motors than the oddball bastard H motors that came in a car that nobody makes fast.
Thats why I have my Accord CB7 with the H22. I hate the prelude but love that engine in my car
My buddy has a Del Sol, he says the b20 and b18, the b18 is fun but very expensive if you find a good one. The b20 comes from the Honda CR V. Makes the Del Sol a torque rocket
Sulfur smell is usually a bad catalytic converter. Also do you have a check engine light? Might be a faulty O2 sensor.
I have dealt with a lot of these types of swaps. I think your 96 del sol is obd2, right? I would go with what ever obd your car has. A word of advice would be to put in the b20 over the h22. You’ll like it a lot better in the car. I have an h22 in my accord and don’t get me wrong I love it but it’s a much bigger engine than the b20. The b20 is 150hp and 150lbs ft. It’s a little rocket with that engine. Im glad to help you out along the way! Always love seek th swaps and especially in a del sol
You would unfortunately have to get a new one. They sell them rebuilt. Much cheaper and just as good. Just make sure it has a warrenty just incase it doesn’t work
