We recently acquired this work truck and a new set of wrenches for the off-site jobs. Needed a place to keep and secure the tools so I ordered this Lund steel storage toolbox:

That’s a great tip. Eric!
It sounds like you need to address that trans issue sooner or later. A neighbor took his Ranger to the shop for the mounting and balancing of new tires from 4Wheelonline and the mechanic noticed the same issue as yours on his 2nd gear. Two days later his trans failed. He was about to take a 20 hours trip and he could end up stranded somewhere.

Howdy, Lawrence. How’s your research so far?
Welcome to the forum, John.
My friend experienced that on his truck just after a week of installation! He took his truck for wheels and tires installation and alignment, the mechanic noticed the caliper bolt on the driver side is in the wrong position. Corrected it and it works smoothly now.

Have it checked at the dealer for any possible code. My buddy recently cleared the P0574 code after the dealer visit. Drives better now with a new set of tires from 4Wheelonline.

If it is a wrong gas, it wouldn’t run smoothly. Like using a diesel on a gasoline-only engine.

This video is life-saving. Got to keep the parts lubed.
Good video presentation. My wipers are acting up recently.
High revving at start up and stays there usually caused by vacuum leak. Cover the throttle body air intake and see if it still revs. If it does you have a large vacuum leak.
Hey, Jen! What ride you got?
“P0420 is a catalyst efficiency code. Given the vehicle sat for a couple of years, I would tale a look at the upstream and downstream O2 sensors and do the other P0420 diagnostics. See this ETCG link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VZ5K8n5jj0”
That’s a good video tutorial, Dave. We’ll just finish installing the parts from napa and 4Wheelonline and we’ll start working on buddy’s Silverado having the code.
It is usually the pump so it is worth checking and replacing if it has been acting up.
