The car has not been started since the new valves were put in. I will post a pic later. I will check that also but seems almost impossible as it hasn’t been run. Just did the timing yesterday and last thing needed to start her up was the valve adjustment. I appreciate all the helpful answers. At work now but will post pics when I get out

So, I’m thinking maybe the valve isn’t seated right or maybe a retainer isn’t placed right??It is on the flat spot. Its open in the back. I have even taken the lock nut completely off and put the adjustment screw all the way up but the valve continues to touch the screw 🙁

I cam turn the adjustment screw but no matter how high up I get it, there isn’t enough clearance. Should I also loosen the lock nut more and see if that helps?
