before condemning the caliper crack the bleeder. if fluid shoots out quickly the brake hose has collapsed on the inside and will not allow fluid to return or leave the caliper causing the piston to get stuck.(fluid should just trickle out of the bleeder when you open it if the hose is good) also check the slide pins to make sure they are properly lubricated and moving and not seized up. if all of that is in working order, replace the caliper and bleed all brakes
thats definitely something id get done. also check the floor on the passenger side for coolant. the heater core may be leaking and sometimes its hard to even notice.
no lights. but ive been thinking master cylinder myself. im just trying to get extra opinions.
if you have a trans cooler in your radiator it could be leaking into the trans fluid because of an internal trans cooler leak. check the fluid level in the trans and inspect fluid condition. if so, replace the radiator and change trans fluid and filter. if not and there are no leaks i would say its going out the exhaust but not really strongly enough to be able to tell. sometimes there is no smoke if its a small leak.
i could go on for days about what COULD be wrong. as for the bumper, maybe you can find one in a scrap yard near you. only about 50$. but brand new, 2 or 300$. just a guess

Actually 2 days later it started acting up again. it got REALLY cold. the fuel pump wouldnt turn on. the relay for the fuel pump was clicking over and over and the computer stopped storing codes. so i got to thinking…. on the old chrysler 2.5 the computer is at the beginning of the air intake so air runs through it. i had a spare one and changed it out. it turns out we were all wrong because it fired right up in a cold 49 degree morning after changing out that computer. It fixed everything. but i still greatly appreciate all the ideas you all gave me. the engine was flooding. not because of the injector but the computer instead. Thanks everyone

I really wouldnt take the risk. it COULD be ok but id drain a quart of the fluid out of the cooling line and add lucas transmission oil 1 quart

unless your sitting in city traffic for hours at a time it should work just fine 🙂

none of the auto parts stores here in michigan had new injectors so i picked one up from the junk yard and it seems to have worked. its 65 degrees here right now. before it would have taken me a minute or so to start it at that temp and now it fires right up. i pulled the plugs and they looked way too clean. the tips were white. it seems to have been flooding like we expected. it doesnt smell like gas anymore while running either, before the new used injector there was a strong gas smell. it seems my problem has been solved. this car is my wifes car and i normally am very good at diagnostics but TBI isnt exactly my specialty. thank you to all that helped me with this problem. all is well now. its still a very good strong running car. which is rare for this engine especially with 142k on it.

that hissing sound is a vacuum leak my friend. Find it and fix it. thats probably why you are getting a lean mixture.
