Ok so I got the car running thanks to all of you for your help could not have done it without you. It was the key on the top timing belt gear, the bolt had come loose and worked the key out, I put a new key in and lined up the crank and the cam like you said and it started right up. Tweeked the timing alittle and its running. Again thanks to all of you for your help, I will recommend this site to all my friends.
Ok so I pulled the upper cover on the timing belt and found the bolt was loose and the key is deformed. I can get a new key but how do I tell if the cam and the crank are in time you have said there are marks on the cam and crank what am I looking for and how do I get them where they are supposed to be. Again thanks for everybody’s input its been very helpful.

K I think I am getting closer the rotor is turning so I started playing with the timing adjustment it sputers and sputs at low rpm then dies. How do I check the timing alignment on the cam since it wont start to check it?

Replaced it today, with OE replacement distributor, still no start. And back to no codes on the OBD. Going back to the drawing board tomorrow, start with spark then fuel. Any other ideas???? Thanks again for the info.

Cool thanks for all the information. I finally got an OBD code its 9 quick flashes, says its a #1 piston positioning senor. Where is this sensor? And does this mean it could be the timing? Thanks again.

Hi all, I have a 1993 honda accord ex, it wont start. I have checked fuel pressure (45-50 psi) is what the gage read. Changed the fuel filter, fuel pump relay, and I have spark. What else can I check? Any and all help is most welcome. Thanks JD
The belt is fairly new maybe 10000 on it and it is in one piece, dont know if the timing is out cant start it to see. Dont know about compression have not checked it but will thanks.
