Always check the gap.and if ya drop one in the plug well take it back out and recheck..Could just be a bad plug or gap. Then check coil, spray a mist of water on it while running and lok for change in idle instead of swapping them around, even though that works too, just more work..

Also check the pcv valve on that..If valve cover gasket doesn’t fix the leak, the spark plug well gaskets are the culprit most likely..

Using motorcraft parts and not aftermarket your escape will like u for. Like said the coils are known to cause misfires as well as using plugs other than motorcraft.Another thing often overlooked are the intake manifold gaskets, upper and lower, these tend to dry out and will cause vacuum leaks in which will cause problems like poorly running engine.

Check all your hoses and around intake for vac leaks, especially the back 3 hoses going into intake and going to pcv valve.Under a load they will flatten out on the ends when they get brittle from the inside of the hoses but may look ok from outside.

Be careful if u take off the front wiring harness going to the coils that u put it back on correctly, soo easy to put back on backwards then u end up getting a p0304 an p0306 code with engine running worse than b4…There is another site dedicated to ford escapes that has a ton of info and knowledgable people. http://www.escape-city.com…Good luck

Unfortunately that model year has had numerous issues with tranny. Some have had rebuilts,or new tranny installed. But some have had their computer program updated.Go to another dealer who will work with you and figure this out.Trying to get a definitive answer on here will just be like going around in circles. Sorry for your co workers escape. The dealer will have to look into it cause most likely it is something to do with tranny and needs to get diagnosed properly..good luck

You can try to find a citrus wax or detailer and apply it.cats hate citrus and will keep clear. This is only good though if u like citrus smell,I do. So not only will it repel the cats, but also will make your car smell good.._x000D_

Seems like if it starts it wouldn’t be the inertia switch, but maybe eric knows something..I would check the wiring harness going to the fuel pump.

Maybe coming from your over flow tank..Is it a closed system where the over flow tank is where u put coolant into..There is an air hose that comes off to let air out and sometimes if it overheats or gets too hot it might spit some out of that hose._x000D_
