I dont mean to draw you away from the thermostat idea. but as im reading im still convienced that it could be the Head Gasket. Have you did a compression check? or even a leak down test? this technique has been very very useful for me in a overheating situation.

        I hope for the best!

Yes SeaFoam is safe for imports as well. But i heard using too much fuel cleaner can be harmful. So i only recommend it during oil changes.

Yes i agree, check to see if you are getting power to the pump. But don’t put it past that a brand new pump can’t go bad. Im a Sales Pro at Advance Auto Parts and I’ve seen countless of times where people will bring a pump back that is defected, but found out it was caused by trash in the tank. So i also would recommend to check the tank for trash. If you do have trash in the tank and its a plastic tank all you have to do is rinse it out with water, and let it air dry. If it is a steel tank you probably will have to replace it.

                  Thanks Eric!
That video is very helpful! I’ve seen it a hundred times and still love it because it keeps me refresh on the basics.

Right now im waiting on the problem to occur again to see if im getting signal to solenoid.
Like i said it doesn’t do it all the time that’s what throws me off. It always happens when i don’t need it to, not when i have time to work on it.

I appreciate the response! If you have anymore suggestions please let me know!
