Older Civic or Corolla.
Like others have said avoid Euro, and Luxury Cars at all costs.
Like others have said it is your Head Gasket.
I know you didn’t mention it but, PLEASE NO NOT USE STOP LEAK OR ANY OTHER MECHANIC IN A CAN PRODUCT. Fix it Right in the First Place.
Today I replaced the cap, my parts supplier had a Stant Cap 16LB which is correct for this car.
No more steam from the cap. Just some that i spilled on the rad is still evaporating.
Thanks for the help!!!
Just purged it was bubble galore in there took a good 1/2hr to flush it “properly”, advice for others a spill-free rad funnel helps a lot.
Never noticed the steam before the flush.
Still have steam so I am going to replace the cap, I will try and get oem, if not will get a good quality aftermarket.
Will report back with an outcome soon.
As always thanks for your help guys, it’s greatly appreciated.
I think it may be one of your wheel bearings, take a look at this ETCG Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdRpnK5MGQ8
I believe this issue may be covered under a recall.
You can check your VIN Here: https://recalls.gm.com/#/
As @barneyb has stated the pickup may be against the bottom of the pan. Also you will of decreased pan capacity depending on how dented it is now.
Don’t know if his situation has changed, but this may be of use.
I would check the battery terminals as corrosion can build up, and cause interference in warm conditions. I would run a terminal scraper on them or even a simple wire brush.
Also could be the fuel pump relay, as Honda has issues with their fuel pump relay once it gets hot inside of the vehicle. Honda usually mounts it under the driver kick panel, but not a 100% sure for your vehicle.
I think someone else could chime in on how to check the fuel pump relay; as relays and I do not get along well. 🙂
It should be fine as-long as the amperage draw of the trucks starter motor does not exceed the Cranking Amps of the Donor Battery.
A issue that could arise is that the Truck draws too much current, which would cause a voltage drop on the donor car side, and this can cause issues.
