the last time i checked my brakes i lubricated the parking brake assembly on the caliper.
but i’ll doublecheck on that.the thing that confuses me about the front brakes is that the shaking always came after a few months.
in the beginning there was no shaking.i think that the tires might wear somewhat unevenly.
is it possible that i need to check if my track is set correctly?as i said. no problems with winter tires on other rims.
but also no problems with summer tires for 3-4 months. after that it started shaking.strange.

Checking the FPR brought nothing new.
BUT – After I cleaned the throttle again, and I got my oil changed (not sure if this has anything to do with my problems) I went on a long vacation trip through denmark and sweden.
All in all around 3000km – and it seems much better now.I’ll keep an eye on it, but for now im quite satisfied with the results.

alright. I cleaned my throttle as good as I could without removing it. there was a lot of oily stuff in there. I think it came from the cam cover ventilation hose. the throttle itself is clean now but behind the throttle there is still quite a lot of this stuff. while test driving it actually felt a little better yet not good enough.
I’m not sure if my car has an air mass sensor and if yes where I can find it. there is nothing in the hose from the air filter to the throttle body.
tomorrow I’ll check the FPR

is it this rusty part mounted to the injector-rail with the vac line on top, or the not so rusty one right behind it?
EDIT: Oh hell…I just realized that we already figured out where the FPR is located on the first page. Looks like I have a brain leak also ๐

man. it took me a little longer to come back to this thread because my daughter was born banana:
so. I changed the fuelfilter (the old fitting did not break ๐ ), oil (including filter), spark plugs and I still experience this unsteady acceleration in the lower revs (around 2000 – 3000 RPM)
Do you guys have any more tipps what I could or should check?
I thought I might try cleaning the throttle next. Should I maybe have my lambda sensor checked?
greets

I’ll come back to this topic then and post my experiences with changing the fuel filter.yes I releaved the fuel pressure.
I’m just afraid of breaking the bolt on a sunday with a pregnant girlfriend at home ๐yes I releaved the fuel pressure.
I’m just afraid of breaking the bolt on a sunday with a pregnant girlfriend at home ๐damn….yesterday I tried to change my fuel filter but I was afraid to break the screw on top.
It does not move anywhere. Then I decided to spray penetrating oil on it and try again next day.
So….today is next day and it still does not move even a bit. argh!Maybe I should wait until I can get a new one just in case breaking it.
Is it just a Bolt, or is it a hollow-core bolt like on brake lines? -
