Your front bearings have to be pressed out. You can get them pressed at a machine shop. Just have to remove the steering knuckle. The hardest thing is getting the race off the hub and you can just buy a new hub. I just did a 4runner and was able to do one with a hub tamer but the other one I had to have it pressed out.
If you ever wanted to reuse the evaporator at a later date I would keep it connected to keep dirt out. But if you are not going to use it again and want to clean up the engine compartment there is no reason that you can not disconnect the line to the evap. The high side and low side line should connect on the engine side of the fire wall. There is no need to seal the holes because it is a closed system, the evaporator is just a low side radiator. Just remember if you do not keep foreign mater getting in the evap it will have to be replace to get AC on the car. Can you remove the compressor or is it needed to run the drive belt?
Check the output power coming out of the alternator. If the regulator is having a problem getting it to a flat DC it will create a wave in the power that is messing up some of the sensors and how it is being interpreted. You have to many things that are going wrong at once. You will have to scope the power to test can not use a Multi meter.
Edit: This is the same a cap269, Check the power from the regulator and the battery. The battery will flatten it out a bit.
My first new car was an Ford Escort 84 1/2. The problem was that some of the parts where 85 and some where 84 depending on what changed. The parts guys usually did not show the half year, so I would have to see what the part was for 85 and 84 and decide what I thought it would take. Most of the time I would buy both parts and take the one back that did not fit. This was the worst car to buy parts for and I will never buy a half year car, even though there are a lot of cars that depend on vins, but at least the parts people are ahead of the game on those. I am assuming the location of manufacture is what they are looking at.

Yes I will count the turns, but you hit on a point that I am not counting on. I am not expecting on getting the exact same part, and I would prefer not because I do not like how this one held up. I do not know what I replaced it with last time and I am not going to buy it at the same place. I also will do a measurement for the length.

First I believe there are some weather related problems, in the high heat the AC runs more and harder – people need it fixed just to stay comfortable and actually get it fix. In the winter when it gets dark sooner head lights go out just because they are on longer.
However with that said, truly random events have long runs. There is a test to see if events are random called the “long runs test”. So if you did not see the run on repairs then it would not be truly random. The problem is that the human brain remembers these long runs and they stand out. This is why a human has a hard time making up numbers, so when you make up a number be very careful how many times you do it (there is also the amount of times a digit shows up).
Enjoy these runs with a smile, but just keep in minds the past event does not effect the future events.

I would like to give my respect for the subie. Daughter has a red one almost like your that she calls ruby. Thank your subie for all the videos, and I wish her the best on her new service.
I am hoping your next is a TDI and that is for greedy reasons…

When you are looking for vacuum leaks. Also look for stuck parts in the throttle body. Had this happen in a F150. Just had to clean the throttle body and it ran much better. If I remember right there are couple of ports that opens/close up on AC on/off and a vacuum line.

Eric, you had a major hairstyle change in the middle of the video. Is your barber that far away? Thanks for the video, it was worth the try and made a great video. Disproving things is great information. I would be interested what caused the light. Also I have had bad luck with subbies of that vintage always having cat problems.
