Same 2.4 liter. I did get the misfire sorted out. I changed all 4 fuel injectors and no misfire anymore. Just put some sea foam motor treatment in gas tank to clean the injectors. But been having this problem from the beginning as the engine runs great now but every now and then it stalls out and then we can not get it started again for about 30 min. Once I wait the 30 min its all good again. Not sure why. Actually I have no idea why its doing this. Going in on Wednesday for a vacuum leak test but other than that i don’t even know where to start next.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Usually my son said if you let it sit for 15 – 20 min. it will start up and all is good then but this happens at least once a day.

So changed out the fuel injectors this morning. Car seams to run fine. Took car for a spin and now can’t get it started for some reason. When I talked to my son he said it has been doing this for a while. Only happens now and then he said. Why is this happening?

Goes in on Wednesday for vacuum leak check.

Perfect that was it. I had 1 and 5 mixed up and all is good now. Thanks a million.

So when you say 5 2 3 6 1 4 not sure what you mean. When looking at the front of the car the first spark plug on the passenger side goes to which number on the coil pack and so on for the other two. Also same with the back spar
k plugs.

So I got the car running and everything seems to be fine other than a little miss fire (possibly back fire) not sure if its a spark plug or maybe the one injector that I had problems with when i put it in. Has a little hesitation when i took it out around the block for a test spin.

Whats your guys thoughts?

Can an injector cause hesitation? Or a spark plug cause hesitation?

2000 Pontiac Grand Am V6. I got it started but its got a little bit of a back fire for some reason. One spark plug not right Maybe.

So I figured out the fuel injectors. Everything ready to roll now add antifreeze and give her a whirl hopefully all is good. Need spark plug diagram though to make sure spark is correct.
