sounds as if the HG might be blown,,but on this k-23 engine its uncommon..if the thermo was bad the engine light would come on pointing in that direction….i would recommend a compression and leakdown test b4 pulling the head,,,you should see white smoke
dont let this thread die people….
just turned 575 thousand miles in my accord with original alternator, radiator, rear brakes, rotors, etc,,,always started, and never EVER broke down….
clogged radiator is my guess,,,,,,
cant watch video..its marked private
i had a ford taurus and escort that both would crank but no start…no spark, power to fuel pump…i tried everything,,,,i kept the key on and wiggled the ecm wire connector,,,the fuel pump came on,,,,this also worked on my escort…turn key on and push on the connector…ive also seen this on other fords…..
my 01 accord knocks slightly,,,always has since new….
well,, it passed,,,,i changed fuel cap,,dont know if that helped,,thanks all..
i got mine from amazon for $15……
thanks eric for the post…i have done all the drive cycles accordingly…and still EVAP NOT READY>>>,,this sucks because i cant register the car until this clears,,question=if i had a problem with EVAP system, would i have a check engine light on?…
checked the link,,thanks,,,i have drove 700 miles and still not ready…i looked at the gas cap..when i remove its not under any kind of pressure…so switched with my 01 accord and see if that helps,,,my 01 has a honda cap, and hissed when i removed cap it,,,,,
thanks eric,,,,,,
eric is not lying about getting that bolt off,,,youtube it=people tried massive impacts and will not budge,,,i purchased erics video and changed mine…its real simple,,,the second one i changed i did in 1 1/2 hours,,,,
hey,,just a quick one=i own the same year, make and model…i liked how you state this car is amazing, never needed brakes…i bought mine with 343,000 miles and done all routine maint=timing belts, trans fluid, oil. etc..it currently has 674,500 miles..all original radiator, alternator, starter, shocks, and even 350,000 on current axles…. these dont have electric steering..agree with top comment-change fluid…i guess well see if eric can figure it out…MAYBE A VIDEO RESPONSE ON ETCG..HONDASLAVE OUT….
i dont care what anybody says,,but this is a interference engine….when you cranked it over like you said-dont know if people forgot that sentence…but you bent valves at that momment……do recomend that you install belt first like eric stated,,i could be wrong…
