Thanks for your time, tomatofarmer. Yes, it started right after I replaced the egr valve. It run like a new one for a couplr of days and then it started out the blue. Soooo…I started throwing parts at it (bad idea) TPS, IAC, New plugs, wires, coil pak,but none made any difference. When it does run of idle, it runs great, but randomly it will run up on the idle and stay there until I shut the engine off and it alwyas starts right back up and then the idle is fine at650 rpms until next time. Thanks in advance for any help.

              Yes, the problem still exists.

                      WELL SAID! WELL SAID!!!!
I’m like you…I HATE that kind of crap from a person who borrows YOUR tools and then tells you what a POS they are. Well Excuuse ME! I tell those kind of disrepectful ungrateful morons “Well…I guess they are BETTER than the ones you don’t have, now ain’t they?” Then I grab MY tool back and tell him to use his own from now on.
There is NO excuse for that kind of behavior, but as you know, there is always going to be somebody who will happily tell you what junk you have and what great tools they have. As I see it, if that’s the case…THEN USE YOUR OWN!!!!!
Whew! I feel much better! 👿

My most humblest apologies to all who responded to my plea for help on my 2002 Montana Mini-Van.
It IS a 3.4 Liter NOT a 4.3 as I originally stated. I hope I didn’t cause anyone too much trouble. Maybe I am dislectic and don’t know it.
                          Anyway, I STILL need help.
                          Thanks, Ron

Yes, I tried that, too, but nothing happens. I can’t find anything on the net about that condition.

It has the 4.3 Liter V-6 engine. It is a 2002 Montana Mini van. Maybe that is listed as a small truck. I’m not sure. Thanks for reply.
