I watch videos and read forums to gain information on a car problem… eventually I find a starting point and work on solving it. The more point of views the better your scope.

I fixed the blender/mix door cog by gluing it, but when I turn it from hot to cold it still pushes out like there’s to much pressure between them or maybe the cable itself… I made a two more videos to possibly find a solution to the noise I’m hearing..

Rev engine video(engine noise heard inside the car)

Engine Bay(the noise I hear inside cannot be heard outside or just sounds different)….

Good day :). This weekend with the temperature drop I decided to use the heat, which for some reason stopped working… after some reviewing some videos I took a look at the cable near the gas pedal and found a cog/gear that fell out I tried to fix it but it kept popping back out… after some more research I found the Bulletin from Nissan. So now I just need to follow the instructions and fix it. I also noticed the air ducts were coming apart so I will fix that also…

The biggest problem I have is this noise, its annoying me and I am unable to find out what it is… It seems to have gotten louder and sound like a “DIESEL TRUCK”…. I don’t think it is the timing chain because I don’t hear noise when I open the hood… I took another video and switched through gears…. Have a look maybe someone with a Nissan Altima/Maxima had this problem….(belts and pulleys are working fine)… The noise is more on the drivers side/center of the engine bay(disappears completely when driving)… This noise went away after I change the VVT Solenoid…. but I have no check engine light on and the noise is back ;(…

Also I noticed the car when in drive and you take your foot off the break really doesn’t move, you have to give it gas and it flies lmao… The transmission fluid is light pink/red and clear… No sure if this is linked to the noise…

Ok thanks. This is why I like your website you actually reply to posts.

This weekend I change the brakes pads both REAR/FRONT and painted the calipers red lol; fixed the drivers side window (installed regulator/motor). I had to use silicone to stick one of the plastic clips that hold the glass because it just fell out… I think it should hold…

This weekend I have to install two speakers in the front doors(got the wire harness too). Possibly change the oil next weekend, and buy 4 new tires before winter.

I looked at tires on Tire rack and was surprise to find Pirelli’s at a decent price, and 700 tire rating but I’d rather buy my tire and have it installed at the same place along with alignment and balancing.

                Anyone use Tire Rack?

I saw some tires on sears.com(I’ve used them before and was very satisfied), but they don’t have any Pirelli’s lol. I might get these tires from Sears installed/balance/alignment ~$700. Is this a good price? Do you think the UTQG rating is a good bases to buy a tire?

Should the transmission fluid be changed in this car? It looks red like it just came out of the bottle though. What about the rest of fluids (radiator, brakes, power steering…)

Installed the part and now the car runs with no noise(the noise heard inside the car in the video). I just need to get new tires/balance/alignment, fix drivers sides regulator(burnt out), change front wind screen (scratched badly), and install 4x100watt speakers lol. 😉

I did notice that this car seems to burn oil but there is no black soot or smoke color or smell… I think it may just be that its 6 cylinder….

I had the car looked at today… after looking at the live data it showed a -1/-2… for bank1 sensor….so started with the sensor with bank1, it was replaced and retested – no change… took out the solenoid from bank1(Right) and tested it no continuity/no movement-(just to show me we tested the bank2 and i saw how it worked)…. but it was late so I wasn’t able to get the vvt solenoid replaced today… will do it on Monday/Tuesday…. I can’t believe how expensive that little part is…DAMN! should I get the dealer part or Dorman vvt solenoid(Right)? Learned a lot today 🙂

Yes it’s P0011. I’ll look up the testing procedures, maybe I can do some at home… I have a multimeter but possible will need a live data ODB tool to test it?

I have some bad luck. This old guy with his wife side swiped me today. Waited 3 hours for a police report.

ANYWAYS, I got the code for the engine light P011. I just changed the oil last week and the levels are fine and it looks brand new… so possibly? cam something? The light was reset, but came back on literally right after I filled up my tank with 93, WTH… Will go get a through check on the engine next week.

Thank for all the info. I will get the code tomorrow… hopefully it wont be an expensive fix… but that noise I hear inside the car in the first video could be a exhaust leak causing a problem..? Ill update tomorrow

Ok so this morning the Service Engine Soon light came on FML lol. Read the manual and it says it could be the gas tank cover or Emissions related problem…. Got to go get the code checked at the mechanic. I cleaned the gas tank cover and tightened it like 5 clicks. Is it suppose to be 1 click or 3? or ??? The cover just says turn until click… The light should turn off after a few drives according to the manual(didn’t drive much). When I opened the cap I heard a kind of suction noise its got half tank (10galllons).
