Ok I will give it a shot. I am starting to wonder if maybe I just didn’t heat the engine enough for the t stat to open. I had it sitting in the garage running for about 10 minutes at idle. When I get home from driving home from work, I will check it as it should be at normal operating temp then

Does All Data list which exact color wire I need to ground? Looking at that diagram it appears that there is at least two wires going to the sending unit. I assume one is a ground and I couldn’t hurt anything by grounding that but I just want to make sure before I do it. Thanks again
