[quote=”EricTheCarGuy” post=111256]Given the age of the vehicle I might be looking to the coolant temp sensor. If it sends faulty readings to the computer then the fuel mix will be off which can cause hard starting. Listed in the service manual they give resistance values for given temperatures. All you need do is know the temp you’re testing at and have an ohm meter to check the resistance. The article College man posted will also provide useful info.

thank you so much. It was the coolant temp sensor. Replaced it and it starts first crank everytime. I have also noticed ive been getting more fuel mileage.

Check fuel injectors and fuel pressure. Also check the air intake.

[quote=”EricTheCarGuy” post=109706]I’ve actually been considering going to the salvage yard to get a manual transmission to use in a video. As for the rest.

I’ve done a TON of these.

I’ve also written an article on brakes that contains more videos.

As for Welch plugs/freeze plugs, when I run into that I’ll be sure to make a video. I don’t see that issue often however.

I’ve actually written an article with videos on poor MPG.

If you didnt crank over the engine then you should be fine. Pour some vinegar down the radiator and then flush it thoroughly with water.

Does the noise only come when you brake?

Thanks guys it fixed now. just replaced everything as the car looks like it hasn’t been touched in years. Didn’t cost me much because i already had most the parts. New injectors, Spark plugs, spark plug leads, coil pack, interior light bulb and fixed vacuum leaks fixed it. Runs really good now 😉

Thanks guys. I have fixed some vacuum leaks and replaced spark plugs. Runs heaps better only on LPG gas tho. Still runs shit on fuel. I have new injectors to put in so we will see how we go. Any other ideas?
