you could have a broken flex plate and win it is under compression it is slipping just a thought if I am understanding this wright. if every thing is turning win the plugs are out and nothing is turning win they are in this might be the problem if you are not having a voltage drop.

yes some shops look at just the work record and what you have done but it sounds like you need to go to your local trade school and ask about shops that have on the job training programs and maybe someone has a opening.
