I have another question about a spongy brake I noticed that there is a swishing sound coming from where the brake pedal is on the floor board going from the floor board going into the firewall I think where the push rod goes to the brake booster. What would cause this because I have brakes now the pedal doesn’t have much resistance

My update on this post. I re bled the front brakes and was moving back to the back brakes to bleed them and noticed that in the middle if the car on the drivers side there’s brake fluid leaking and its leaking around the brake lines that run thru there but all the brake lines are dry so I checked the lines from the front of the car as well as the back and for the life of me I do not see where its leaking from. I’m gonna double check in a little bit so I’ll keep you posted

I’m sorry It’s the 1989 jeep Cherokee laredo and It’s the smaller of the 2 in the master cylinder and I just replaced the front pads and brake lines and the brake hoses on the front brakes and I don’t think it was bubbling before.

Your right dreamer 2355 it makes complete sense to keep everything in the original post but I will from now on. But now an update on my hub assembly. I took beefy’s advice and replaced the whole hub assembly and now my big problem is over so now I’m finishing up with this jeep and then I get paid 🙂 thanks so much everyone I feel like I owe everyone some of my profit.

I did look at the chilton and it conformed everything I did. And I promise you that I did use a bfh and I did forget to mention that I was replacing the bearing. I am thinking it must not have been greased good at all, I’ve never worked on a car with such difficulty removing a wheel bearing.

I am looking at an air compressor and I was looking at the specs you guys said before and I was wondering if these specs would work on what I would use it for. I need it for air tools mainly impact drivers and ratchets. Here’s the specs: It’s a porter 25 gallon and they said It’s suppose to be comparable to a 60 gallon. Air delivery 4.9 scfm @ 40 psi and 4.7 scfm @ 90 psi. Running hp is 1.6 and It’s a 15 amp if that matters. Thanks a lot

I agree johnzcarz I don’t know how a 25 gallon can be compared to a 60 gallon. I decided not to get it I trust you guys way more than someone telling me that stuff. I’m very desperate for an air compressor and don’t have much cash and I believe the right one will come to me when It’s meant to. Thanks so much everyone you guys have helped me so much.

Here’s an update on my 4×4 question. Even tho I have found an owners manual and I am engaging the 4 wheel drive correctly the 3 button lights on the dash switch still don’t stay lite but im sure I’ve tracked down the problem or at least one of the problems: there is a hose that runs out of a vacuum line and runs into a T connector and the larger hose which is 3/8 goes into a piece called electric break control front drive axle vacuum switch and the smaller hose coming off the T connector goes down and is hanging down by the bottom of the radiator and is connected to nothing and I started the car and put my thumb on the end of the hose and just as i knew its a vacuum hose. Does anyone have an idea where this hose goes I looked all over that area and can’t find any port for it to go into…. Please someone bless me with their knowledge.

You guys are awesome that makes 100% sense to me and now I’m extremely confident that I will use it the right way when confronted with the problem that a tap and die set is for. Thanks again guys.

Here’s an update on my 4×4 issue. To answer dreamer 2355 unfortunatly I don’t have a service manual or wiring diagram. And I took Eric’s advice and pushed the 4 hi button and both 4 hi and 4 Lo blinks a few times and both light up and disappear but when I drive forward it and the rpm will increase about 600 rpms and it must engage because it feels like the gear is lower but has no power. The 4 low will make both buttons stay lit and I drive forward and it goes into a real low feeling so I’m guessing its engaged. I forgot to mention when I put it into 4 hi when I drove forward it shifted so hard I thought I left the tranny behind me lol. Any ideas I would be greatful for the advice
