Thanks college man it’s a fix. Somehow I missed the ect by the AC come to find out somehow the connector came loose so I plugged it in and the truck started and runs like a champ. Thanks for all your help.
I’m gonna try that but your right it sounds more like a sending unit to me as well. Thank you so much for your help. You helped me many times in the past and your advice and knowledge is greatly appreciated. Thank you again
The one I did replace had one pin. It was cracked so does that mean the ect is faulty as well since that is the gauge part I replaced.I was on alldata and it shows a 2 pin but the exact location of the 2 pin is the same location of the one I replaced which has 1 wire going to it. When I ordered the part they asked 1 or 2 wire. I’m lost on this job. I trust you college man so what did I replace. Could there be a 1 pin ect. Thanks
Will doing the amp test when the engine won’t spin. When I turn the key all that happens is the dash lights dim.

I am able to test for amperage. Could you help refresh my memory on what the amps should be at the starter.

For some reason I overlooked that you had a hydraulic clutch so disregard what I said about checking the clutch free play since a lot of hydraulic clutches don’t really need adjusting. As Eric stated its probably time to dig into the tranny and look around and for the most part you’ll probably be putting a tranny kit in and most kits include everything to replacing the clutch, pressure plate, clutch disc, throw out bearing and pilot bearing and be sure you check the shaft where the pilot bearing and throw out bearing sit for any groves or wear and check out the flywheel as well for wear and it might need to be resurfaced. When I do trannys I always replace the rear seal since I’m there anyways.
Do you have any noises like grinding when you try to engaged the clutch or is there any noises when you release the clutch. Have you checked your clutch free play I look for around a 1/2″ when you push in the clutch pedal before you feel resistance. This ain’t specs for the free play but I use that 1/2″ only to see if its close that way you’ll know if your issue has anything to do with clutch adjustment. Please keep us posted.
The one code is P0102 unfortunatly I cleared my codes on the ecm and ran the car and that code came back but I think the code was like P0468 which ever one says evap purge sensors low input or something along that line. I’m sorry i couldnt be more help on
Your awesome beefy that makes complete sense I never did anything to the timing and the “_” didn’t mean anything. The extra fuel makes sense cause the car sometimes smells like fuel. I do have a cel and it says the maf sensor circuit low I think
I haven’t cleaned the throttle body but was wanting to on a different car. Could you guide me on how to do that right. Thanks so much.
My scanner does have live data what should I look for and if you don’t mind could you refresh my memory on how to test the tps and the IAT sensor. I can never thank everyone enough but everyone’s help is priceless to me thank you all
Thanks college man those are awesome I’m gonna go test the tps a little later. I’ll post later with results
