I’ve never been found of dealer since they have a monopoly there’s less incentive for quality customer service.
Sure, I can call up Honda, Nissan, or whoever but it’s a hassle. I guess since customers can’t return, exchange, or shop anywhere else they feel as if there’s no need to improve on customer service.Mopar 1960 – 1970.
I love the designers behind Chrysler, but they really need to hire some Toyota/Honda engineers for QA.
That Jack from Northern worked wonderfully. My only complaint is that it’s extremely heavy.
I no longer have an jacks, but want to try out those grey HF jacks that are ruffly $90 if you get em let us know 🙂
At my father’s tire shop we used to use Northern Tool Branded Jacks – they had extended warranties, but before using the warranty they lasted 4-5 years of continuous use in a fairly high volume shop.
Here’s the exact one we used if I remember correctly.

I’ve always wanted a 2000 Civic Si in Dyno Blue, or a 1991 Si CRX.
Just too many people want 5,000 for ones that are beat up. I’d prefer the CRX with a B18C5 engine, or K20 if it can somehow fit.
I Just bought a Nissan Versa 2015, but personally I want a 1960-1970s Datsun truck. I could also go for a Honda Kei Truck. I just like being that guy in town that drives a unique vehicle. If I didnt need something more reliable for work I would of waited another 6 months and bought a DeLorean maybe.
I personally can not relate, but don’t let that get you down.
There’s a guy at a local shop who’s paralyzed from the waist down and modified himself a first generation camaro. It’s fully functional, and even has it’s own ramp similar to what I see in E-class ford vans.
You can do whatever you want given practice. Heck I’ve watched someone cut and eat food with no thumbs, and a few fingers missing as well.
Reving my D16 Honda Engine to 6,000 in my Si everyday for 6 years straight.
I think that’s a general rule for life.
People just don’t care for, or appreciate things they didn’t work for. I’m generalizing obviously, but if someone lends me a tool or what-have-you I treat it as it was my own – or like gold. I wouldn’t dare lend my poor man’s husky set 😆 my bit drivers will be cracked im sure.
I skimmed through the link MDK. I continue reading in a second, but I for sure am going to use your tool box advice and simply start with a tool cart.
Thanks, I appreciate all the feedback guys!
I’ll give the suggestions a look. I want to avoid the truck brands; I simply have bad experiences with my Snap-On dealer when trying to warranty anything of my fathers when my father owned a tire shop. Nothing a quick call to corporate didn’t fix, but it’s a hassle so if I purchase anything Matco/Snap On it’ll be used from Ebay. Plus if I ever get anything lost, or stolen I won’t be crying for an entire week 😆
The Multimeter especially I’ll check out. I simply can’t afford to Spend $300 here, $400 there, and $10,000 on a tool box whenever I ask mechanics at the dealership I work at for advice. I’m like gee have you guys never started out 😛
Thanks for the tip about Metric being interchangeable. I always thought so, I only have experience working on Civics, Integras, and CRX from the 90s and never had the need for any SAE product. They were just included in the Husky set I purchased so a bonus I suppose.
Some spell/HTML errors. Bare with me. =)
