The new cam reminds me of all the skating videos I used to watch as a teenager. This company “Zero” used to make some awesome ones. Maybe Eric could make a skating video

I have been heavy on youtube for gosh 13+ years now. There used to be a channel that I was a big fan of and this uploader would reply to every single negative comment left on his videos. Every time I watched his videos I would cringe seeing him in the comment section with these big long flame-wars going on, I really disliked that. I would recommend that nobody replies to any negative comments, not Eric, not the viewers, just let the negative comments be.

A lot of times people leave YT comments very quickly and without much thought. If you really get into a discussion with them they often will not back up their negative comments.

On the latest AutoZone video I saw a comment that I found particularly annoying, this guy wrote this long drawn out goodbye to Eric and swore he would never come back. He had like 20 crappy videos on his channel and a few subscribers, his comment just reeked of narcissism and self-centeredness. I wondered “Why in the world does this man think that I care about him leaving the channel?” I really think that he was just maturbating his own ego. ETCG does hard physical labor to produce these videos, and this man just sits at his desk in the air condition and wants to push people around and leave negative comments – I just find that highly agitating. I wrote him a reply about how inconsiderate he must be, but as I often do, I just deleted my reply and let him be.

Also remember that only a very very small fraction of viewers leave comments, very small. I mean you are talking half a million views for a few thousand comments.

When you really think about it tho, criticizing youtube comments is almost comical. Come’on dude- they’re youtube comments. Complaining about them is like going to the wildest bar in town and telling the drunks to quiet down and get serious. That goes for all comments on the internet, you have to take them with multiple grains of salt.

Do companies offer a lifetime warranty on electronic tools? For example, a snap-on scan tool?

Thank you very much for the reply I will think about your advice a lot. I saw an add on craigslist for an entry level job changing oil at a Honda dealership. 10 minutes after I sent in my application they called and told me about the job, and that I would be changing oil, and they offer 200+ online tests that I will need to pass throughout the years. Sounds like something I am really interested in. They said they like to hire young people. They said they have a kid who started there when he was a teenager, and now he is 25 years old and is a Master honda tech already.

but now I have 1 concern and that is I will start to dislike cars. Like I said I have 0 training and 0 experience now, I never work on cars but if I go to school and work for Honda my life is going to become cars, cars, cars 24 hours a day which is very different from now. Hopefully I dont start hating it. But even if I do a lot of people hate their jobs, you just have to suck it up and do a good job.

Also I am worried that I will get to the dealership and the other people there will just laugh at me or dislike me for not knowing anything. I have to try to avoid making stupid mistake likes draining a transmission instead of oilpan, touching a hot exhaust, smack my head on something, strip a bolt. I dont want to mess anything up.

My girlfriends grandfather told me one time that competent people worry about their own competence, while careless people are fearless and think they can do anything in the world. I hope I can do the right thing because I dont want to be poor and uneducated my whole life, and I desperately need money to start my life getting married, kids, house, etc.

Thanks for the reply. Just as an update in case someone ever has a similar problem it turned out to be a blown fuse #14. I had originally pulled the fuse and looked at it, but it looked like the metal inside was still connected and the fuse looked fine. Took it to a mechanic and he used the power probe and found it was bad.

Now the fuse keeps blowing at what seems to be random times. So I have to figure out when it blows and why it blows. so far no luck
