          Well, i changed the coil pack but this didn’t fix the misfire so I changed the plugs which turned out to be the problem.

          I did notice oil on one of the plugs. I assume this is the result of a failed piston ring???

          Perhaps it’s time to get rid of this old thing!

            It’s a 2003 Ford Fusion (European style) – 1.6 Petrol (gas!)

            The misfire hasn’t become severe enough to register any faults as yet but it is getting steadily worse.

              The noise is coming from the front brakes and only at low speeds when slowing for a stop.
