Thanks, that makes me feel a bit better. I have the plugs, but I wanted to change the wires too while I was there, and my parts store didn’t have the ones I wanted so I’ll probably be changing them over the weekend. I’ll post back here and let you guys know how it went.
Okay man, thanks for the reply. I hope I don’t ned the PB, but I’m kind of just preparing for the worst lol
Nope, I don’t live in the rust belt, I’m down her in MD. I went a head and had a local mechanic take a quick look, he said everything is fine though the bushings are showing some signs of wear, but the leaf springs and shackles are in pretty good shape.
I guess the truck is just very light duty and I’m just not used to it? The only other trucks I’ve been around have been Ram 2500’s and F250’s, that’s kind of what I was using as a reference point.
Thanks for the reply =)
Thanks again for your help Night. I’ll have someone take a look at the leaf springs and see what’s what.
Could bushings cause leaf spring problems? The bushings have definitely seen better days.

April 26, 2017 at 2:01 am in reply to: Ford Ranger Shakes Violently While Turning The Steering Wheel #879725Well, it didn’t work. I sat outside for over an hour turning lock to lock and no luck. I just ended up paying a local mechanic a few bucks to put a vacuum bleeder on it and get the air out.
Thanks again for your help man.
April 25, 2017 at 1:27 am in reply to: Ford Ranger Shakes Violently While Turning The Steering Wheel #879681Thanks a lot for your help, I appreciate it. I think if I do this again I’ll be doing it like you said, that way there isn’t a whole lot of room for air to get into the system.
I’m going to jack her up now and see if I can get the air out, I’ll post back when I’m done.

I did turn the wheel lock to lock a few times during refill but the fluid stayed at the same level so I thought I was good.
So, I should jack the front up again, and put the key in the “on” position and just go lock to lock until the air works out?
