Just an update that this is now fixed. I was planning on getting new tires put on and while I was doing my brakes a bit ago I noticed a ball joint possibly going bad as well as some worn bushings on the control arms. Nothing was cracked full through, maybe the worst was about 20% torn. The previous owner changed out the tires, front axles and struts with the cheapest parts available. I changed out all the struts and the shaking went away by about 60-70%. I tried changing the control arms but the weather prevented me from getting too far into it with trying to break free the ball joint so I just had the local shop do it with the tires. After changing all 4 struts, all brand new tires, front control arms and front axles it drives like brand new now. Im very relieved it wasnt anything with the transmission (knock on wood)
