Hi eric, just saw your vid on youtube, great find, if you were to take the auto engine out of the burgandy color car and put in to the dark blue one, you ll need to swap the cams from your auto engine with the manual one, manual has different cam lobes on it compared to the auto, if you dont do that it ll run like ass, since the manual transmission ecu has to run on a stock manual map, the rest is plug and play considering its the same vintage, it applies with most hondas/acuras that have manual or auto counter parts in the same trim, auto cam lobes are much more milder than manual :]
I found out what the problem was, coolant temp sensor on the thermostat housing was busted but didnt throw a code, i read up eric saying on another post about how the temp sensor can be a culprit at times, hopefully this helps anyone else who has the same issue. Thanks guys
when i do timing belt on b series, i make sure all the markings are in sync and then sit the tbelt on top of the cams, you can use 2 drill bits 5mm in size and lock the cams in position there are holes on the top of the camshaft covers, the silver plates that go over the cams.
Then after i put the drill bits in place tbelt on top of the cams and cable tie them through the cam sprockets so they dont move at all then go over the water pump and install it on the crank, all the left over slack goes over the tensioner, the spring on the tensioner usally takes care of the slack but if they springs on there for a while it looses tension thru head cycles, so i get a pry bar under the tensioner and give it bit more tension.
The longest straight on the tbelt then should have a 90 degree turn to it not too tight not too loose.
