Oops forgot the video haha
http://db.tt/FVAV1ag2Well after all the procrastination, I went to go get the vehicle scanned and of course, the check engine light is gone. Doesn’t come up and no codes were found, although now, after all this time, the car finnaly stopped cranking. Here is a video of what is happening (Yes I know the check engine light is on now, but when the car starts it goes away) From my knowledge, I think it may be either the cam or crank position sensor. I don’t want to bring it into the shop since the shops near me gave me an estimate of $400+ which is ridiculous. I do not not know how to replace the cam sensor but I know how to replace the crank sensor. Can anyone give me a little help?

Actually I got the problem sorted out. After a couple days of testing, it was the ignition switch all along. If the key isn’t in the cylinder ALL THE WAY, like literally until the spring is fully compressed, it won’t start. What I discovered is that there is apparently a “theftlock” signal wire, and when the key isn’t compressing the spring the signal wire doesn’t make the circuit. In turn causing a no crank.

I thank you though for the answer due to my dad is having that problem, and we confirmed that it is the problem after reading your reply! So I thank you. 🙂

Comes to show, from an experiment just now, that neither actually fixed anything. I guess it was just coincidence 😀

I found something intriguing, tonight when I was heading out to the gas station to get a snack, the vehicle didn’t start after about say 5 times of turning the key. But when I messed with the steering wheel and the shifter it started! It was odd, I don’t know whether they caused the vehicle to be able to start but, by pushing the shifter farther into the PARK position and maybe messing with the steering wheel it started! Any ideas? I’d also like Eric to view this. It’s quite possible he has worked with this “sort” of situation before.

I got P0100 its telling me there is a problem with the mass air flow sensor. Although after I fixed that it didn’t fix my starting problem.
