College man, The throttle arm connected to the carb is getting caught up for some reason, its not the linkage but something inside the carb itself. So its not resting on the idle pin screw. Its done this before, but it seems like after I drive for a few days the “jam” goes away.
Skippy, I would like to take off the carb and rebuild it myself cause the gaskets are bad, but im afraid to do it myself. I don’t have the kind of experience that i’d like too, im only 16!

Well, yesterday I got it started. I floored the pedal and turned it over… the thing ran at maybe 200rpm like literally! But it slowly built up rpms until something “let go” and it redlined. I let go of the throttle and it idled back to normal, but after I took it for a short ride, my previous problem with my throttle linkage sticking is back! So that sucks…

Talking to my dad, (who owned the truck first) He says if the truck sits for more than a day and a half it wont start unless you use starting fluid. Though sadly, I don’t have any :/ and no autoparts store is open to pick some up.

The vacuum hose and throttle assembly seems to be fine, shit I can’t believe I forgot to add this part… After I shut the truck off when it reved really high, I did move the distributor back and fourth but it didn’t fix anything.
