It shouldnt hold a steady reading, it should fluctuate up and down based on how many revs the motor is turning, the higher the rpms the faster it fluctuates. Think of a sine wave, lower the hz the bigger the wave
I would guess your IAC valve, but if theres a vacuum leak near the intake it’ll do the same. My dad taught me to take some floss or some thread and hold a loose end around all the hoses, if theres a leak it should move. Or take a hose, put one end by your ear and the other end to listen for the hissing.
Your swaybar looks fine to me, loud knocking sounds like struts. Go to the back of the car and bounce it, the car should come right back up and stay, if it keeps bouncing its your rear struts. If it stops, check your strut mounts, those couldve gone bad.
UPDATE* I went to the MAF sensor and jiggled the connector. Car idled up a bit, jiggled it again and it died. I tried it 3 consecutive times and did the same thing each time. But whats weird is after I jiggle it once I can drive it. After i do it again it dies then I start it back up and I am unable to drive it and it does what the video shows.

Hahaha, its a nissan im about ready to enduro it lol. Its not backfiring its just misfiring. The green card says “Turn off headlights please” My girlfriend always leaves the damn lights on and then the battery is dead! In the history of the car, the check engine light has NEVER once come on!! And the obd port is bad so I got no idea!

November 16, 2014 at 4:29 am in reply to: No heat and overheating problem 2000 olds Intrigue #633769The car does “overheat” but its weird cause the motor with a temp laser says its only around 120-140? I dont understand this at all! I took the car for an hour drive today, had heat! So i turned the blower on about midway and eventually the air got cold. I turned off the fan and drove a bit more. Then to see if I had head after 10 min i turned on the fan again and boom! heat! WTF is going on man!

I use the term “jingling” loosely. Tbh its more of a knocking like if you take the end of a screwdriver and knock it on some metal. I lifted up the rear, and was unable to replicate the sound. So, as I suspected it only happens under load. Like even if my foot is on the throttle downhill it goes away, but when I go back uphill it comes back. Sometimes when it happens it gets louder as apply more throttle. I seriously cant figure out where the sound is coming from, I put 2 microphones right next to and toward the rear of the truck and I couldnt determine the location. Now, without telling me my brother ripped my exhaust off right at the header so now I cant hear shit…

Fuel pumps on both sides were replaced last year. I replaced my inline filter when I rebuilt the carb, the carb is getting enough gas for sure because I can slam on the gas and ill do burnouts like a madman, but once I get upto the point where it needs to shift into 3rd its just odd… I can;t explain it unless I posted a video or audio recording but im afraid im going to over work the engine. Id like to get a 700r4 but id rather not have to spend another 1k for the computer.

wysetech, skippy, I pulled the carb apart and even after 200k miles on it the thing is clean! But I had carquest order me a rebuild kit so I could put some smaller jets on it anyway.. the truck just sucked SOO much gas its not even funny. Don’t quote me on this but I think the number stamped on the jets are .072 but either way the jets are huge. I took pics and video on how I pulled the carb off and how I ripped it apart, but im actually really confident that I can get this back together without help. My dad is making me fix my truck on my own, no help from him, so im on my own!
