Yea there are a lot of kits like the nsl300 (i think that’s what its called?) Or the most popular and preferred method using timeserts. If you look around the internet, you can find them for about $400-$500 a kit.

+1 Also. This can help alot of people with the northstar engine, and he 4cyl 2AZ-FE engine which are notorious for stripped head bolts (not the bolt itself, but the thread in the block strips).

the noise is definitely coming from the spring towards the top of the strut. Tightening the nut on top of the strut helps it a little, but doesn’t eliminate the problem completely. I assume I’ll have to change the mounts out._x000D_

Ideas? To be clear the noiThanks Eric. I’ll just keep it in unless it decides to fail on me. Thanks for all your help!
Well, an independent shop did this…I believe it was a Monroe Sensa-trac? Am I getting that right? Anyways yes the car creaks when you push the fenders down, but while driving it is a knock noise to clarify. So I should be checking strut mounts, ball joi
