I use a spill free funnel and adapters at work for bleeding cooling systems,
I would be checking for power going to the cooling fans. Do you have access to a scan tool with bidirectional controls so you can activate the cooling fans?

I would be checking for power going to the cooling fans. Do you have access to a scan tool with bidirectional controls so you can activate the cooling fans?
If you have a scan tool, you can also look at the coolant temperature to see how accurate that gauge is.
But if you have access to some wiring diagrams you can try to activate the gauge by applying a power or ground (again look at the diagram).
Also check for loose connections and it would be a bad idea to do some voltage drop testing too.

Next time it stalls and doesn’t restart, check for fuel and spark and see which one is missing.
