Just stumbled upon this:
Mini CVT Fix

Could it be the case? the car is in a dealership, with the battery disconnected for god knows how long, was imported from the US to here, the boat takes about 2 months to arrive from the States to Chile.

Alright, update on this one. I swapped spark plugs and cables, and still had the same problem. So I started checking sensors and cleaning the intake, since it was a hesitation problem in the bottom. I got to the MAP sensor, got the electrical part claned with contact cleaner and the inner part with intake cleaner. And that did the trick, no misfiring, no hesitation whatsoever.

Good one. I’ll try swapping spark plugs and cables,an let you know about the results. The bad thing is that on this engine, I have to remove the intake in order to access the spark plugs and coil :(. Yeah, sucks. I give it a try. Thanks on the advice!
