Didnt get to use the smoke method I just changed the gas cap (which I already did less than 7 years ago just because the strap was broke and didnt want to lose it, it had 120,000 miles on it compared to 40k on this newer OEM one) which is pretty much why I ruled it out, who knows, ran the service bay test with my tech 2 and passed right away. thanks for all the help.
PERFECT!!!! THANK YOU!!! I have seen the top and bottom videos but my system cant take more than 1 psi so the bike pump will work perfectly. Thanks again.
Can’t afford that right now, that’s why I’m here
completely forgot that was not a stock alternator, stock case but upgraded to 220 amps, and requires an overdrive pulley and I put the stock pulley back on after 3 years.
looks like PCM, circuit 225 Pin B red wire Generator L-Terminal, with engine running should be getting B+ Value which I have read is the Battery + terminal, which is at 12.5 and circuit 225 Pin B is only at 10.5 volts plugged in running or unplugged running, alarm is working red blinking light just burned out after 20 years. I actually charge off idle, had the alternator tested 4 times and passed all times.
that only worked for a short time, still have good continuity after changing that connector but not charging again and my alarm wont set for some reason, the key fob works but my alarm wont go off???
got it thanks, a connector I already replaced at the starter (charging wire) was hanging on by a couple wires.
bad brand new x7 crank shaft sensor, put in old one and runs awesome. like a new motor
Reman “better than factory” I was told. It is cranking and popped a couple of times with a back fire, the hydrolocking or slow crank sounds like if the timing was way off.
