thanks. Mine is not a flex fuel, however I believe it is in the same location. Could not even find the part at the local stores. Finally found it on rockauto. Alot of work for such a little part.
I am replacing it as a service item. I obtained the vehicle for retirement and have replaced all the fluids. Guess I am just kinda anal in that way. I want to have a base point to know when to service stuff.

It looks the same as the rubber fill plug just smaller.

Thanks for the help on the rear. yesterday I got under the truck to look at the front differential. Easy enough to access but a line/wire is running into it. Assume it is for the four wheel drive. How would one disconnect this to get the pan out for cleaning?

I did that and when I moved either tire the other tire did not move at all.
