Yes it’s been scammed. It has no codes.
However I read online that the auto trans model of this focus has a computer limitation on the RPM’s so it’s not an issue like I thought.

However her car started acting up again today. She was on a hill and lost power and had to pull over until her car would allow her to accelerate again.

So basically ill need two rear hub assemblies and all around brake work…this will be lovely.

Thanks for the info though. Hope you had a good holiday.

Not that I have noticed. Although on rare occasion it does happen at a stop light when I go to drive again. But it’s not nearly as frequent as when I go from reverse to drive

sorry it took so long, been very busy. i did check the line and it seems to be fine. does this mean its likely to be the transmission giving me problems? :/

i checked the brakes already, i did not check the rubber lines, but everything else you mentioned i did check.
ill have the check the lines and see what condition they are in.

there are no codes on the car.

i checked the fluid the other day it seems to be pretty fresh and at the correct level, but im not sure how long its been in there. i bought the care maybe a year and a half ago and it hasnt been changed. when i got the car it had 58k miles on it, now its at 73k so i dont think its that, but it could be possible

are you sure about the brakes though? i would think if the brakes were having trouble releasing it would happen instantly, but if i dont let the car sit before going forward the car will roll forward a few feet before it catches?

The power steering has always seemed a little harder than usual but Its Not any worse tha, it has been. And when I think it seizes its very quick and releases so it’s hard to tell if the power steering is effected. I’m at work but ill check the links when I get a chance. Thanks for the responses!

so i figured out the dimming lights and all that was from a bad battery. i did a load test because the can wouldnt start today. when attempting to crank the battery dropped to 4 volts, and it was at 13 volts when not cranking. i replaced the battery and it fired right up.

i still however have the belt, or bearing sounds. am going to take it to the garage in the morning just to verify that its the tension idler. ill update this when i get more information

i read that if the AC bearing is bad, the noise would stop if you engage the AC system, so i tried that and the noise was still there. so its either the pulley or the alternator

i did that the other day, and the noise had stopped.

the belt noise is constant. and from what it looks like the alternator is charging fine. i have no idea whats causing the lights to dim.

my car has two belts, one that runs the power steering and the other runs everything else. i believe the ones that is squeaking is the one thats running the alternator, but i could be wrong. its hard to tell. there is not much room under the hood of my car.

i went out and did a few tests. i tested the battery while running to check the voltage that the alternator was charging at, and a voltage drop test. i have 3 videos. the last video is just to show the sound im hearing from the belts.

not sure why my videos didnt post. ill upload the to youtube and paste them here
