There is a compremise that should be mentioned here, I’ve put it on one of your videos before but I thought I would post it here too so it wont get burried as fast/easily. They can combine hourly and a flat-rate-like system. I was offered a job that would have payed me like $7.00 an hr plus a commission/bonus/tip/extra pay for everything I completed as based on the average time to complete the said job like a flat rate guy would.

I don’t have anything more than stock running, I put a radio I salvaged from my previous car, a rebuilt/reconditioned sony 1 disk cd player with an aux cable imput, but I wouldn’t think that would cause it and I haven’t added anything else. I jumped a van once but that was months before it failed.

Thanks, you have helped me out on things that most cars have like brakes and how to deal with tapered roller bearings, and basic essential engine maintenance. I was just taking a stab in the dark, it seems like I missed but I have a few buddies, a shop and a cousin that are very helpful with these things.

Maybe you could ask a buddy or two to scan through all the forum questions for ones that arent being answered, or answered wrongly, as sort of a prescreen so you dont feel like you have to read through everything yourself. Its a thought, maybe its already happening, I havent been around the forum much but I think I might be here more often for advice/help on an old American car that I inherited and have grown to love.
