I don’t believe in that no codes no problems. I have had plenty of noises that didn’t set any codes. Yes I watched the video and no I don’t hear anything abnormal. Those engines are a little noisy. It sometimes is hard to tell on video. I guess the only advise I can give you now is just drive the car normally and see if it gets any worse. Make sure you follow the recommended service intervals and you’ll be OK. If you do all your part and it blows up it will be covered by the warranty. Hope this helps you.
+ 1 on taking it to another dealer.
if the problem is getting worse then the dealer should be able to duplicate it. you have a warranty on the car so the dealer can do this work for no cost to you. try to leave the car with them. sometimes technicians feel a little pressured if they know you are waiting for your ride home, and they can be pressured to say that nothing is wrong. As for the dealer not even opening the hood that is totally wrong of them, they need to do everything in their power to make you happy with your new ride. hope this helps and keep us posted!+ 1 on taking it to another dealer.

the grand am is a four channel abs system. this means that each wheel is independently controlled from the abs box. look at the abs box it should have two lines going into it from the master cylinder and four lines going out to each wheel.

+1 on the thermostat.
in my experience ECU failure is usually accompanied by a no communication issue. what that means is the scan tool can’t talk to the ecu. you have stated that the car has thermostat codes so i’d bet it can communicate. i would also recommend you start with the thermostat, ur hurting ur gas millage running at such a cool temp.+1 on the thermostat.

Small leaks can be very hard to see some times, and i have had some that simply don’t show up with a smoke test. what kind of vehicle are you working on? in my experiences an evap leak code is usually a gas cap, vent valve or filler neck.

sora this is a very common problem with these cavaliers. rust builds up behind the rubber boot that the guide pins go threw and it stops the calipers from retracting after the brakes are on, thus prematurely endingthepads and rotors. I would suggest replacing the calipers, they are relatively cheep and usually an easy job. If you want to go the cheapest rout you can pull out the rubber boots and clean the insides with a drill bit. Make sure you lube everything up with some brake paste. hope this helps

ya i would agree with you air can cause a pressure difference. yes possible air in the ABS box. don’t think distance has anything to do with pressure difference. how does the pedal feel? is the fluid topped off?
