Re, Hi all, 2000 Chevy Blazer, 4.3 motor, 4×4, auto Trans, 123,000 miles
Jacked up frontend, no up and down play on front axle shafts ether side, slite oil leak on driver side, at clamp at the front rear end, on play on front tires top to bottom side to side, in and out, not torn boots, turned front wheels while in the air, going strate, turning hard left and right no noise, two wheel drive setting
on tight turn in intersection, left hand turn no noise, right hand turn, I get a clunk clunk clunk, sounds like coming from left front, any ideas what is wrong ?, I can’t start draining any gear oil till after I get paid and see whats left after bills paid.
      Thank you Dennis Friedman

          Hi all
I am a retired big truck mechanic, Started working for my grandfather in 1973, part time he had a small fleet of trucks in Massillon, Ohio, he went out of business in 1978, My last job I lost in 2006, most all the jobs I worked on trucks, one of the three vehicles I own is a Smart Fortwo, they call for oil change every 10,000, it takes 2 hours drive round trip to the dealer,
I can do the job in less time then it takes to get there.
          Thank you, Dennis Friedman
