The school that I go to has two automotive programs . One for all types of vehicles and one designed for GM. Unfortunely no deisel or bodywork. I have been very pleased with the education that im recieving. I already have my state emmisonns license. At the end of this semester, I will have my a/c license. I’m hoping to get my state inspection license this coming fall.

A week or two ago my brakes class had a couple of guest speakers. The one guy told us that once we are done with the program, “we” are not mechanics, we are highly trained technicians.

I’m thinking like for diagnosing bad wheel bearings or a brake, steering problem. I could see ASE and US. DOT working together to get something like that in place.
