? I did not see where there were two of the VTEC spool assembly’s on the odyssey ? How to switch back and forth? but the sensor on the vtec solenoid itself is only a few dollars- i thought about just buying that and trying it but the screen in the solenoid may be clogged? not sure—-

They checked both battery and alternator- and all the grounds and connections are good- it just seems to have a lull or something that causes the battery light and battery not charging light to come on and it happens about every 30 seconds-the gage on the dash drops to about 10 volts and then goes back up to 14 so again, all things are pointing to the alternator but would like to know if anything else would cause this ??

The battery light and battery not charging indicator comes on anytime- not only when the lights are on- but its affecting the lights when they are on, they will dim when the battery light comes on—-

??Dont know college ,man. If a cam is slightly off. 1/2 tooth after putting belt on. they dont always line up dead on.. Not sure about your answer. The last one i did, a volvo, the crank was less than half a tooth off. could not get it dead on. It runs perfectly, actually better than it ran before i changed the belt> Dead on doesnt work exactly every time. just wanted ETCG to give me his spec on it.. I knowi there shouldn;t be any play and to line them up. i have just had a couple that didnt line up exactly dead on. But sooooo close you could hardly notice.

Flushed heater core, and checked the blend door actuator. It was working fine. Still no heat.

doing a little more research, it could be a relay, a main cause for this problem in honda’s any thoughts on that, also maybe crankshaft position sensor??? any thoughts on that

OK It was the starter. changed it out and it’s running fine. Thanks ETCG for responding. Got sidetracked on the clutch safety switch. That’s one bad thing about the internet when some of these customers go online to an open forum and see every kind of possible issue out there. They become overnight experts and really can distract you!!

Thanks ETCG for responding. I watched the video and will be checking out the Saturn tomorrow. We have had terrible weather in NC the last couple of weeks so I have had to put it off.

Ok, could use a response or two. Car owner of the Volvo xc70 is pretty UPSET is a mild word. After she took the XC70 to the volvo shop and spent $900 on repairs which included cleaning all the oil passageways an oil change and numerous other things, due to the check engine light coming on, This past Monday am she called and said the car was making a bad noise and smoking like crazy. She pulled over and parked. I told her to wait and I would come by and check and see what was going on but she went ahead and drove the car home, noise and smoke and all. I got there and checked the oil first and NO oil in the car BUT I didn;t see any on the engine or spayed all around like and oil leak or none leaking underneath. She called the Volvo place that had done the work and he said the TURBO had suck all the oil out??? Ok fill me in on this one guys> I am not real experienced with a volvo Turbo. BUT just two weeks after he does all this work and said nothing else about the turbo noise, which I was trying to find out for her? this car goes down. NOW the volvo place wants $2400.00 to fix the turbo? Ok here goes my RARELY used politically correct term but “REALLY”?????? two weeks and no heads up about this and knowing exactly about what cause the oil to disappear? The owner is irate and throwing grenades in every direction she can? Just would like to hear some feedback on this.
                                Thanks
