hmm….after ~65k km the chain should be OK, but I would check it anyway. You said you changed the oil recently. Did you put in the specific oil for this engine ? As I can remember it has a hydraulic chain tensioner and it requires a 5w30 oil. Do you get any codes from the ECU?

The fastest way to find out what’s going on is to remove the valve cover and check the timing chain. Also a chain tensioner could be broken. How many kilometers are on this car ?

The fastest way to find out what’s going on is to remove the valve cover and check the timing chain. Also a chain tensioner could be broken. How many kilometers are on this car ?

I had a similar engine once. Check the turbo. Does it smoke a lot when you floor it on a highway ? Does it smoke if you leave it idle for a minute and then push hard on the throttle ?

Yes, the alarm can cut off the starter/fuel pump/ignition if it’s armed.

I don’t let customers bring their own parts cause usually they buy the cheapest chineese crap. If you instal a crapy part and it breaks the customer will blame you not the part he bought.
