ok what i dont get is how can be he be so sure without doing a leak down test i understand from what i know that when your valves break down you get water in your oil pan is this true or not also when i bought the car timing was a lil off and the day before my car gave out i accidently picked up the car to 120 on the freeway now he says is 400 for labor plus the head at the junk yard oil antifreeze and that stuff does ot sound about right he said about 600 or 700 dollars
no timing belt didnt break but did skip 1 tooth the mechanic only did a compression test
hey guys hows it going??
i have been looking at mechanic school’s wyotech and uti, but are way too expensive i think.
is there any other schools anyone know about???
i stay in southern california, if there is anyone that know can you guys give me some names.im in riverside, 2 years is way too much men plus a job on a lube is a waste of time not alot of chances on they’re specially as it is right now.
might as well go to wyotech never taken a loan so far and its only a year for diesel mechanic which they teach you gas for 9 months and 3 months of dieselcar shakes and doesn’t have power wont move it wont go over 1000 rpms,i’ve changed the plugs, wires, mass air flow sensor, all the belts, just opened up the timing belt and its new, also got a new fuel regulator it was burning more fuel than it should and you could smell the gas so i’ve changed it.
at first it would turn on and it would shake like crazy i made those changes and the car started working better now it turs on and when i hit the gas it still wont go over 1000 rpms but the car stays there it doesnt drop before i made those changes it would drop to like 400 rpms and it wanted to die on me i had to let go of the gas or it would just die…
this are the readings on my car code 11….. crank angle sensor
code 22………. fuel pump circuit and 33….. exhaust gas sensor, now i know there is 2 kind of models or series on this cars.
1 is the canadian version and california version, the california version has alot of sensors which i think is the one i have but not sure
cause i do have the h02 sensor obviously but i cannot find the exhaust gas sensor.
ok i just went under my car and there is nothing on the pipes or headers, only my h02 sensor although i did see something behind the engine and i think goes to the pipe but then again all this hype or just excitment of getting fixed is making me see things.
if there is anyway where some or one of you can tell me or show me a pic of this exhaust gas sensor it would be nice.i did go to into a nissan’s forums and 1 guy told me that some cars or like i said canadian and californian cars don’t have this sensor, so i like stuck on stupid now lol.
i really need this car for work i being trying to fix it so bad that i think, i’m sure its a minor thing and because of the fact that i want to fix it i might of missed it.
by the way there is leaks on the car i did check my intake manifold gasket it was old and ripped so i replaced it, before this incident my car was working descent i say descent cause its an old ride i post it before and a few have given me some tips and sights where to look but nothing still wont work properly.timing belt is new at least looks new but can bad timing on the car cause to not even move??????
ok so i have had some things i had to do so i wasn’t working on the car till today, i finally put a new fuel regulator and is the same thing almost.
i do feel a change the car stays at 1000 rpms something doesn’t let get higher but it sounds like it wants too, i hit the gas and leave my foot all the way down and sounds like if it wants too keep going up but it stays there.
i didn’t check the timing belt cause i made a deal with this mechanic i finish building his garage in exchange he would fix my car and fix all the codes and the whole nine yards.code 11…..
code 22….
code 33…
now the thing is i cannot find the gas sensor or a diagram for my fuel pump circuit
whats an fsm???
yea i know erick but i just wanted to try i set it back to normal i marked it where it was with a sharpie i have being trying to do that but havent found a way to get to my timing chain i am not a mechanic mechanic i am having a hard time with the ride hopefully tomorrow we will see what the next step is
thats not the idle speed control its the barometric pressure sensor, the idle speed control is next to the throttle body its attached on the side of it.
funny thing is that 2 days ago i turned the car on move the distributor you can rotate mine and it accelerates or decreases the timing
anyway i moved it acelerated it and the car was running normal i brought back down yesterday and wasn’t running properly i tried pushing the timing up again
and the car seemed to wrok even worst is like when your at the hospital 1 day your fine and the next almost dying im honestly lost now
i’ve done about everything and nothing changes.no fuel regulator is on the left side of the picture look at it and it will be to the left side of the monitor that 1 runs vacuum lines it has the lil needle to regulate it
wow really thanks alot men i really apreciate it men.
im trying to find the price for it but i cant find it
ok i got the car to start now idle doesnt go up and down anymore but it wont go over 1k rpm everytime i hit the gas pedal the car dies…
