Wow! Great video. It’s close enough to the 88 Acura for me to follow it.
Thanks a lot guys.
danoHi;
Thanks for the great video, I watched it all for future inside handle problems.
Sorry for my error but…I should have said OUTSIDE handle….
danoThanks for the reply;
The Acura RPM starts out at about 2000 RPM cold, and gradually (10 minutes later) down to 700 RPM.
The RPM is steady if I don’t press the throttle.
When it reaches 1000 or less , then I can use the throttle.Thanks ironheader;
I’ll try the tests you mentioned. I never thought of the battery. The relay, I think, is in the engine area.Long time ago I had intermittent engine quitting. Turned out to be distributor internal electrical connections were loose.
Thanks Rereonehundred;
Yes, you’re right.
I’ve always done all my own work since HS, but now, sense I’m older, there are jobs I feel I can’t do.
But I have $$…so I take a chance….lol.Thanks HeavyJ,
I have all the records so I’ll try that idea.Thanks HeavyJ,
I’ll review that video and try to clean the “Idle Air Control Valve”.
Thanks college man, I’ll try it.
The only difference is that this video shows rough idle and fluctuating idle,but mine is steady idle but too fast.Have you checked your motor mounts?
Thanks for the tip, ukrkoz
I’ll try thatdrthrift035
I had a similar problem…turned out to be a warped brake disk. The brake pads were dragging on the disk, so I smelled something burning when I got out of the car also. When I touched all four wheels, it was easy to tell which one it was….lolWhen you said 50 km/h I thought you meant under way, but you also said idle, and of course that couldn’t be brakes.
On the other hand, my car front end shakes when I go to neutral and roll to a stop at idle. That was caused by brakes.
Thanks for the reply, college man;.
Actually my speedometer is working perfectly like new. That’s why I didn’t fix it yet.
I always thought the vss must have something to do with the cruise control. But I never use it. The Los Angeles freeway is no place to use cruise control….lol. -
