      I have a po420 code on my 2005 1.2 vw polo. I have no real big driving issues other than every now and again on start up a slighly high idle until engine warms up very slightly. On my scanner i did a emissions readiness test which failed on catalys

        I would also make sure you wait till they dry if you clean them like that before you start up engine
