THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY, NOT A VERY ENGAGING RESPONSE TO MY QUESTIONS FROM THE COLLEGE MAN ie TECHNICIAN, YOU HAVE BASICLY TOLD ME NOTHING AS THERE ARE MANY SENSORS ON THE TRANSMISSION. MAYBE YOU SHOULD TALK TO ERIC. I WOULD BE INTERESTED TO LISTEN TO WHAT HE HAS TO SAY.
Good morning, l will try and explain again.
1. WHEN YOU PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE FROM A STATIONARY POSITION AND TRY TO MOVE FORWARD SOMETIMES THE ENGINE JUST POPS AND BANGS AND THE RPM WON,T INCREASE, THEN AFTER A FEW SECONDS IT WILL CLEAR ITSELF. YOU CAN DRIVE THE CAR NORMALLY, UNTIL YOU HAVE TO STOP, ie. A JUNTION THEN MAYBE IT WILL DO IT AGAIN.
2.WHEN YOU PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE AND TRY TO MOVE AWAY AND IF IT STARTS TO POP AND BANG WITH NO RPM INCREASE, IF YOU MOVE THE LEVER FROM DRIVE TO NETURAL THE RPM GOES UP INSTANTLEY. IF THE CAR IS IN PARK AND YOU DEPRESS THE GAS THE RPM IS INSTANT NO PROBLEM.
3. HAVE TO SAY THE IDLE VARIES SOMETIMES IT IDLES AT 1,000RPM SOMETIMES 600RPM SOMETIMES AROUND 800RPM.
4. I HAVE CLEANED THE (TB)BAND THE (IACV).
5. SO THIS SITUATION ONLY HAPPENS AT LOW RPM WHEN THE CAR IS UNDER LOAD, SO COULD THIS BE A PROBLEM WITH THE (IACV)
tHANK YOU ONCE AGAINFOR YOUR ATTENTION.May l ask what is a fita? as l mentioned before l do not have an idle problem it is when you depress the gás pedal the car sometimes just (goes put put) and no rpm increase, then after a few seconds it will get up and go. Also when l am experiencing this problem if you put the car in Netural the rpm will increase straight away. As you never when it is going to happen pulling out from a juntion is rather worrying. Thank you for your time.
If the car is in Park the rpm is around 850. From cold its around 1200 as it warms up it drops to 850.
Do you think this could be an IACV problem if so how can l clean it as l live in Brasil and these cleaning products are hard to find. Can l use purê Alchol. My engine No, D16Y7. -
