maybe you should replace your fouled spark plug with one that’s not as dirty
Bonnie, I like when you said that the transmission runs through its gears when driving. The literature on checking trans oil and also motor oil is so vague that it throws the general person into a tidy. The nice part is that many people have smartphones these days and can figure out the correct way of checking their dipstick.
H when your vehicle is hot. Don’t overfill it.
Your sound seems localized so it could be a strut mount going bad or misalignment (not a safety hazard, just annoying). Or, it could be your rack. Two people for this. Parked with engine off with hood open. Someone chokes the steering wheel from 11 o’clock to 1 o’clock.
I was in a bad mood when I wrote this and now I’m replying to it since I can’t delete it. Weeee. It’s actually not too bad. Finding the ‘edit post’ is a little tricky but all in all, I think I can hack it at a pick-n-pull soon.
cap269, nice job at diagnosing that bearing. That is not easy…
kwk, there’s non-harmonic balance issues which means these aren’t related:
suspension
engine
transMy guess other than a tire, would be uneven lug nut torque while torqued center to the hub bore. Assuming you have stock wheels but uneven tire wear, the slightest lb ft that’s not matched on the fronts might cause a hiccup. Don’t buy new tires yet. Have a shop (or you) put the tires with the least amount of wheel weights on the front.
Absolutely amazing! I was going to suggest a drive belt issue but so glad it was an easy o-ring/grommet! Take all forum advice to the maintenance shop when you have $ and time and keep the Odyssey EX fresh. They’re a beautiful minivan.
I googled trailer pigtail, but even disconnecting that and some other harnesses with battery connected wouldn’t seem to drain or short an electrical system.
I was thinking a sticky relay or blown fuse but all checked out. Starter, unruled. The only thing I can think of is a neutral safety switch and I do not know my trucks. However, maybe (P) park isn’t actually in park. 2007 Equinox had problems getting the key out of the ignition after shutdown. Kinda opposite of your issue. Nonetheless, it doesn’t sound like an electrical issue directly. Best of luck.
Do you have a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) or MAF (mass airflow sensor)? If MAF, it might just needs to be cleaned for better gas mileage although you didn’t mention that. Have you checked your engine mounts? Other than air restriction with a somewhat healthy vehicle, the #1 loss of torque response is worn engine mounts. I just made that up 🙂
That was my problem at least.
+2 on a cap replacement. Also 1, check to see if there’s any leaks at your transmission coolant lines up front near the radiator. 2, check for leaks in the heater hoses close to your firewall. Oh, and check for abnormally bulged hoses. A little bulge is alright but hazelnut sized on the smaller rubber lines are about to cause problems.
Coincidentally, your battery might be on its way out. I’d check that first.
Metal in the pan? I thought VW was guilty of EPA restrictions. The OP is obviously a troll.
does anyone know how to type anymore? correct grammar + vehicles = new approach.
Sounds like Penn’s state regulations are crazy. Imagine an inspection dinging you for a loose sway bar link?
If it runs like a champ you could probably go coast to coast without any problems to be honest. But yeah, an oil change. Make sure your visors aren’t about to fall off. A cushion to support your needy gf’s feets when they’re up on your dash (joking). Equal tire pressure (32psi?x4 cold). Working radio antenna and/or smartphone. And cruise control.
